Living Indy(pendent)
Week three and oh am I in love with Indiana! I’ve been able to set a nice routine for myself and it’s a dream!! Working part time gives me the freedom to explore by myself three out of the five weekdays. The weather is warm and breezy, but not humid so I can spend a lot of time outside! My week looks a little something like this:
Sunday- Paul and I attend the first service at our church and after mingling for a little, I work for a few hours. We then have the afternoon free.
Monday& Wednesday- I work at the church all day, but I do get an hour lunch break so I go eat with Paul at Sweetwater- which has an incredible Diner!
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday- I pick a coffee shop, edit for a few hours while I eat lunch and then go walk around a park or something. I’ve also been editing videos at Sweetwater some days.
Saturday- Paul and I have been trying to find new and fun things to do on our only full day off. We try out new restaurants, but end up reverting to Thai most of the time (mainly my fault.) We visited friends in Columbus, OH last Saturday which was a blast! We also have plans to visit the Sand Dunes in a few weeks so stay tuned for that!
After work, Paul and I work out (This rarely happens, but we try lol), then we make dinner at his house and watch tv. I’ve been using this website Supercook which lets me put in all the Ingredients I have and it tells me what I can make with them. It’s been SUPER helpful in finding new and fun recipes! Paul is also a saint because he actually likes to help me cook! I absolutely can’t stand to cook alone and the fact that I don’t even have to ask him to help is a blessing!
We just finished binge watching Stanger Things (which has a whole new feel when you actually live in Indiana. 😅) Now we’re on the hunt for a new show to watch. We’ve been watching Tiny House Nation in the meantime so uhh... will take recommendations!
So far, my adventure up North has been fruitful and I’m happy that I’ve been able to find a fun stable routine. Living my best life is a very accurate statement for me right now!
